Valentine’s Day is a day of celebration of love among lovers or couples. It is celebrated on 14th February every year. This day is named after 2 early Christian martyrs named Valentine. At the time when custom of courtly love began to amplify, this day became connected to romance and love. It all happened around the time of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages. Today, this day is celebrated in almost every corner of the world, thanks to the great marketing and advertising. Moreover, it’s good to know that there occurs a day when lovers could possibly rekindle the old flame if the candles have burned out.

I have never decorated for Valentine's Day, other than the cute gift bags that held the gifts to my husband and kids.

So......this year I decided to do a Valentine's Day shelf......

  • This is just darling and so thoughtful! We did this one year at work for a lady turning 40. It took me 2 days to get all the balloons to work and keep them hidden . . . She will never forget THAT birthday! I decorate the front porch, coffee table and kitchen table with at least a little something for each holiday. We need to live a little, and it makes me (and a few neighbors), happy. Mostly DIY of course!
