Take a very soft cloth & rub the spots gently ... if that doesn't work ... use a mixture of 1 part white vinegar & 3 parts water to re-clean the windows. Wipe with newsprint or an environmentally safe cloth.
I've had success with vinegar and also bar keeper's friend.

How can I clean off the water spots on my windows?
Driven Extreme Duty Glass Cleaner. We have a well with hard water and even our water softener doesn't cut through at times. We use this on our windows and shower door. We went through a lot of DIY products and other type cleaners. This was the only one that worked for us. Good luck!
If its on the outside it could be permanent. If it has become part of the glass nothing will take it off. Glass just looks solid, it's actually a super cooled medium. It moves, in very slow motion. That's why the windows at Charte Cathedral is losing it's windows. They are sagging.
Make a mixture of water, dawn dishwashing soap, white vinegar and jet dry.
vinegar
Vinegar and newspaper. Works on showers too.
After you clean the shower, put a coat of Rainx on it. It will shed the water better, then always squeegee the glass.
