Celebrating Boxing Day (or the 2nd Day of Christmas) in the Garden

Today, December 26th, as you may know, is Boxing Day.* It is also the Second Day of Christmas, and, Mr. Moon-In-The-Man is taking advantage of yet another excuse to celebrate in my succulent garden. He can be seen here where he is still holding on to his rag doll friend as he was doing when he last appeared on HT earlier in this month.**
Together they have put a spin on the lyrics to the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas," and they have replaced, "on the Second Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two turtle doves . . .," with this: on the Second Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two choices of cocktails . . .
For indeed they have two choices of cocktails in front of them. This can be seen in the first picture included with today's entry, where you can see that to Mr. Moon-In-The-Man's right is a Piña colada and to his left is a Margarita. (Close-ups of the cocktails can be seen in pictures two and three.)
In any event, these cocktails — even before being consumed — evidently provided the inspiration for Mr. Moon-In-The-Man to put a spin on the "traditional" lyrics of "The Twelve Days of Christmas," as he sang, "on the Second Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, two choices of cocktails . . . ".
As Mr. Moon-In-The-Man sang his version of the song, I couldn't help but think of my dearly departed father who was prone to putting a spin on lyrics. For example, "Band on the Run" became "Band with the Runs," and, "In Bad Moon Rising," instead of singing, "There's a bad moon a rising . . .," he sang, "there's a barroom on the right."
I'll let you guess with what he did with these lyrics, "I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden . . .." and with that I wish you, dear reader, a happy Boxing Day and blessed Second Day of Christmas, no matter what your true love gives to you!
