Has anyone seen a foaming toilet tank cleaner?

I saw a segment on TV about a cleaning DIY for your toliet tank. But I can't remember what they used. I saw them pour it in the tank and it foamed so much it nearly ran over the top to the tank, but after they used this and they flused the tank it was sparkling clean with no dirty scum around the inside of the tank. Does anyone know what they could have been using????

It was probably white vinegar followed by baking soda.

Thanks for sharing, but what is the ratio of each? I for some reason thought that I just saw one ingredient put in and not two, but there again I saw just the last part of it, so I could have not seen the whole thing and I didn't have it taped to where I could go back and look at it again.

To everyone who replied, I have found it..... it is called Hurriclean and you can order it off their website there is a video that is on there and you can view it showing how the product works. I have already placed and order with them. When you go on their site, you can get a 2 for 1 offer if you order in the amount of time listed on the site before the time expires, ( I think it was 45 minutes). I am waiting on my delivery to come as we read this email. But thank to all of you who helped me in my quest to locate this product. I hope I can help someone someday with something. Love this site. Again thanks.

Buy Iron Out from Lowe's or Home Depot. Put in tank and just leave it. It will go into bowl as you flush. Cleans all iron stains and gunk from both. Make sure you have ventilation when using.

I bought a product called "Hurriclean 3-Pack Automatic Toilet Bowl / Tank Cleaner Remover AS SEEN ON TV" thru eBay.

      Item - $12.15

      Quantity 1

      Item No. 262804342110

      Name of ebay store: homewholesalestore

I bought this product just recently and have used it once. I must admit I was impressed. You just empty the contents of 1 packet in the toilet tank (and yes, it does foam quite a bit) and let it sit for 6+ hours. I was a little concerned about it working but was surprised. It cleaned all the rust out of the tank as well as cleaned the toilet bowl so well that it looked brand new. Keep in mind, this toilet is only a couple of years old and I'm a pretty conpulsive housekeeper, but the tank was covered in rust and since we have very hard well water, those hard water marks do show up in the toilet bowl. I immediately ordered more of this product to keep on hand, since it is recommended that you use it once a month . You might want to give it a try.

Good luck. I hope it works as well for you should you decide to try it out.

    I saw something similar:

    Toilet-Cleaning-Bombs

    You will need:

    1/2 Cup of Citric Acid

1 1/2 Cups of Baking Soda

30 Drops of Lavender Essential Oils

30 Drops of Lemon Essential Oils

30 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oils or Lavender-Lemon-Peppermint-Essential-Oils

    Water

*Citric acid is found in the canning section of most stores

Add the citric acid and baking soda to a large bowl, then add your essential oils, being sure to whisk a little while adding. Now use a water spray bottle to add your water very slowly. Spray a little, stir a little. If you put your ear down to the bowl, you will be able to hear the mixture fizzing. You want to continue to add water slowly until you can squeeze it a bit and it can be formed…kind of like playdough, but less dense

Now, press down into an ice cube tray. These will start to rise, and you will be able to hear them fizzing up. Wait an hour, then use a gift card or something similar to scrape the excess off the top and fill another ice cube tray with the excess. This mixture is actually enough to fill 3-4 ice cube trays depending on their size.

Let them sit overnight, then pop them out of the tray and store them in an airtight container. I use two per toilet cleaning about once a week just to keep my toilets fresh and clean. Simply drop them into the toilet and watch them fiz away. Close the lid and let sit for about 20-30 minutes so they can do their job. If you like, you can use a scrub brush and scrub the mixture around the toilet, or just flush and move on! Your bathroom and toilet will smell clean and amazing!
