What would you do with this wall border?

I have border in my house but Im thinking I need to update it and just take down the border and paint the walls ..any thoughts? ..thanks!!

ditch the borders and repaint. It will be worth the effort.
I agree! Borders were a style of the 80's. Remove it and paint. Crown molding is in. More classy and adds definition.
