Keeping the Front Entrance Clutter Free...

I found this vanity at a thrift store - it was painted a bright wild purple, so I did the prep then painted it with crackle finish. My front hall is very narrow and I have a large dog who can get very wet and muddy on rainy days. I used to be fumbling trying to get a towel from the back of the bathroom door to dry him down. While doing that he would shake himself and splatter mud and wet all over my walls. Since I kneel down on the floor while drying him anyway I attached hooks underneath the vanity where I now have a few "dog" towels within easy and quick reach (before he shakes his mess onto the walls). On the top of the vanity there are three boxes - one for the doggie bags, doggie collar light, and doggie treats - one for my hat, mitts etc., and one for my son's hats, mitts etc. The effort has been worthwhile, however I still have a lot of fixing up to do because my son's box is always overflowing with everything he comes in with. Underneath the vanity is a boot tray - my son always leaves his boots in the way and I am always the one to pick them up and put then on the tray. Anyway, at least there is a place for everything now

I had to cut out the corners of the boot tray so it would fit within the legs of the vanity

Hooks for towels place underneath the vanity in it's frame.
