Tip: Organizing My Entry - Back Entry

We have built our own home and have 3 entry's - the front door, the patio doors and the mud room.
The mud room is our most used entry way, not only because it is the mudroom, but we purposely placed it closest to the kitchen and our detached garage and our parking area. Plus, it has our washer and dryer in it.
With dogs cats, kids and grand-kids and the two of us who can be the 'dirtiest' of the bunch when we are landscaping.. it seemed like a great idea.
My husband and I often strip down to our undies in the room and put our clothes into the washer. Living where we do, we have no chance of being seen!

To me this is the best ever she holder- "Brusali" by IKEA - in Canad it is $99. in the US $69.
My feet are a size 8 and my hubbies are a 13, this can hold 15 pair of our shoes, with my grand-kids it can hold 30 pair!

We built a 84 inch wide, 30 inch deep closet and have one of these hanging shoe organizers in it - it never holds shoes but is great for gloves, mittens, scarves, gardening gloves even my pruning shears . What is in it changes seasonally.

It's hard to see, but we also have 4- 18" wide cabinets over our washer and dryer.
Because I an writing this at 3 am and don't want to get my 2 German shepherds and two cats riles up - and wake up the hubby, I am not taking more photos!

I realize we are very fortunate to have been able to build what we wanted after 50 years of learning what was wrong with our entry way!

In our closet we have a one side with a high clothes pole and the other with 2 clothes poles for jackets, we also have a single layer boot rack that holds 8 pairs of boots.

Nope, He was still dozing away after my post. In the winter we seldom use the one from the walk out - but in the summer I use it all the time!
