I'm a big fan of gallery walls. I have one in my living room made up of family photos but I love the idea of mixing in art and mirrors in there as well. Have fun with it!

'Don't forget 'dimension' and 'relief' not just flat picturs/decorations. I love the glossy magazines, Southern Living, Architectural Digest, etc. for inspiration .

I like to find a unique art piece whether it be an old table, picture, frame, mirror, piece of wood...and to build on that to create a theme for the wall. I found a lovely looking tree branch once and used that as a rod from which I hung unique pictures in antique frames. It was a great wall piece!

I did this on the wall going up the stairs to our second floor but it could work well on a living room wall. It started when I found a large, weathered metal "P" at an antique store. Soon I was finding "Ps" allover the place. Now the wall has a great collection - wooden, embroidered, calligraphy - some framed, some painted. It is a very personal thing as our last name begins with "P."
