Easy Kitchen Recycling Center

Are you tired of the paper bags filled with sticky soda cans or small plastic shopping bags that can't contain your recyclables? You can have a hidden recycling center in just a few minutes without giving up an entire kitchen cabinet.

After we completely Renovated our Kitchen I knew I needed a recycling center but still the only place for it was under the kitchen sink.

I purchased two garbage cans at the right height and width to fit under my kitchen sink. I also purchased a set of ArtSkills Vinyl Labels. You can pull the letters off and reposition them easily if needed.

Let's get started.

I measured up from the bottom edge on each garbage can the same distance and made a tiny mark in two places. Next I lined up painters tape under both lines and pressed it down. Before I started applying the letters I drew e a line in the middle of the tape to center each word.
Working from the center outward I positioned the letters of each word and adjusted them as necessary until the spacing of the letters looked right.
After both cans were finished I lined them with kitchen garbage bags and placed them in the new Kitchen Recycling Center under the sink.

Now everyone can easily see where the recycling belongs and no more sticky bags hanging on the door handles.
