How are you organizing your entryway?

I've been getting a jumpstart on my spring cleaning and organizing my entryway coat closet. It always seems to be such a jumble by the end of winter. This year I'm adopting some new organization strategies and thinking outside the box.
I used two creative storage ideas:
1. A hanging shelf caddy for gloves, hats, and scarves
2. Vintage thread spools to display my sun hats

We don't have an entryway closet so we really had to think outside the box. Our home is really small so we use those hanging shelf caddies to hold our bath towels. There is only two of us and after using it for over a year, I already can see we still have too many towels (and we only have enough to fit into the caddy). I got rid of the extra ones a year ago. So about a month ago, I took out the bottom two towels and used them to hold two of my husband's sweaters. So far so good. A little at a time though so we can gauge things..
We use the IKEA tronnes by the front door for hats, gloves and other stuff that needs to go out as we leave or needs to be look at later.
'sigh' This closet is so organized it's making me a bit envious. I like the shelf caddy idea. Unfortunately I don't have an entryway closet either so we make do with a hanging bookcase that fits hats, scarves, blankets etc.

Now you're giving me ideas!! I love the use of the thread spools for your hats I have mine on silver trays on a console table but they wd look better yr way!! And they'd be up higher like a display...
