If the wool is in the form of yarn...then all is basically the same; but if the wool is not already 'spun into yarn', that will have to be done first. [BIG NOTE: Wool will shrink IF when you wash it there is a big temperature change between washing it & rinsing it. USE hot or warm water to wash AND to rinse...or the wool fibers will shrink. ALSO: When washing wool...soak it, lift it gently up & down in the hot water, because the more you 'move' the garment...the tighter the fibers get & it will not only shrink...but will grow tighter together...so tight that you turn it into a felt that can not be torn. Enjoy crocheting...I do!

Just wanted to make a quick comment....in the US of A, we think of wool as an animal fiber. In many other countries, "wool" refers to yarn in general. Good comment on washing yarn & items made from an animal fiber, C.B. If the yarn is of a man made fiber, it's not as delicate. Enjoy Deboah!

ccan always rr eI would go to a yarn store, and ask, for they may have classes for this. Get some beginning material in books while you are there. There is always basic patterns and new patterns that you can work into. Best wishes. This is fun, tho I love to knit, and make matching sweaters for me and my hubby. Enjoy, and challenge yourself, to try a diff. pattern next time. You will enjoy this, I promise, If you make a error, do not worry at all, for you can always take out some stiches, till you correct this area. You will enjoy this, I am sure. I would like to suggest, that you take a pic of every finished product, and the date that you started this, and finished. If you make it for a special person, place their name at the top of the page, also. This is for future reference. Good luck, and enjoy!!!
