Colorful Scrap Wood Rug

I used some 1/2" plywood scraps to make a flexible wood rug that also doubles as a piece of art for my workspace.

Watch how I made it here!

For the best durability I used Americana Decor Outdoor Living paints and then sealed it with a light satin varnish. So far it's held up quite well! You can use heavy duty canvas or denim for the base since it's not seen. Also you want to use a generous amount of industrial glue that is waterproof.

I chose an abstract painting but you could glue the wood on first and then stencil a design on top OR you could stain the pieces. Up to you.
