Funny Coasters to DIY

Create waterproof, long lasting DIY coasters quickly by using my free printable!
I love to use resin to create projects with a professional looking finish. The only downside to using resin is that you MUST make sure that the paper or fabric is completely sealed, otherwise the resin will “stain” the textile.  This usually involves using multiple layers of Mod Podge to seal and reseal and then seal again to ensure complete coverage.  This also means the project will take some time, since you have to make sure each application dries before starting the next one.
Never fear, my crafty friends who are looking for shortcuts like me.  I FOUND A WAY TO SPEED THIS UP! I used weatherproof labels from OnlineLabels.com to get this project done quickly and with no resin stains at all.  Simply download my free printable, print it on OL3536LV labels, and skip all the layers of Mod Podge!
upplies Used to Make Funny Coasters:
  • Unfinished Coasters
  • White Paint
  • OL3536LV Printable Labels from OnlineLabels.com

  • Free – Free Printable
  • Environmental Technology 8-Ounce Kit Casting’ Craft Casting Epoxy, Clearicon

Set the coasters aside to dry for at least 24 hours.  Once they are cured they will be ready for use.  I love how vibrant the colors remain, and these groovy, funny coasters are a big hit with my kids.  I can’t wait to design some more!
