You can replace the doors, paint them, wallpaper them, add molding or new hardware, decoupage on fabric or paper, anything you can think of except maybe not ceramic tile or brick. If you want to get fancy, get some paintable wallpaper in an interesting pattern, paint it, and seal with polyurethane.

Agree with Darla and Janet! Many options. They look like they are laminated cabinets. Look very similar to mine.

There's a world of possibilities! I'm always a big fan of chalkpaint because its not only lovely- but it cuts out priming and sanding and adheres really well to most surfaces. Good luck!!

I'm a professional decorator and what I use is the "Cabinet Transformation kit by Rustoleum". It is somewhat labor intensive but you will look like you've purchased brand new cabinets! It comes in a variety of color choices.

You can purchase it at Home Depot, and I believe Walmart carries it now as well. It comes in 2 sizes, you will need the large for that project. Approx. $150 for the large. These is also another kit for "counters." These come with instructional DVD.

My daughter did her own in the pix below. She did a great job all by herself with several little kiddo's underfoot!

Hope this helps ... best of luck!

I also used the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation kit. However, the paint is chipping behind the cabinet handles. So even though the instructions say you don't have to sand the cabinets, trust me, you should at least give it a light sanding. The cabinets were a dark brown, installed in 1977. English Cream is the color now. Don't worry, the almond colored

fridge is gone and so are the awful orange walls!

If you are in the "low budget" group, the paneling type front of your cabinets, as many have suggested, put a layer of Kilz or couple of a good quality paint. Worked for me!

Painting is pretty inexpensive, but what brings a kitchen to life is the hardware. Small pulls just down have that wow effect, especially after you have spent so much time bringing them around. If the pull is small add back plates that is good too
