Can you tell me which you would prefer or is better for all around house stuff - eg. cutting inserts from cabinets out, cutting ceramic tile without the big machines and big mess, etc... Thank you :)

I've never tried the Rotorazor, but I love LOVE my dremmel. I've got a number of the attachments. I've used it for wood working, but besides that I have used it for cutting tile, trimming down a metal curtain rod, engraving, I used it to cut holes in old liqueur bottle so I can turn them into lamps, etc. It's basically the jackknife of power tools. It's compact, get the extended set (with the flex head) from the beginning and for around the house stuff you should never need to buy any of the expensive attachments. although they are a lot of fun.

Only attachment besides the flexi head that I felt I really needed that it didn't come with is their EZ cuts tool. As for the other heads you can get non dremmel heads and use them on a dremmel brand dremmel. Which I do all the time

Also this sounds really odd but dentists and jewelers use dremmels to do a lot of their work and I've picked up at a jewelry supply store and at a dentistry supply store really cheap heads that would have cost me tons of money if I bought them at a hardware store.
