How to put knobs/drawer pulls on cupboards with no existing holes?

We have a two year old Centex house. I'd like to add knobs/drawer pulls; i'm tired of scrapping my nails on the outside of the cabinets when I have to open it. How do I measure for holes?

Depends on what type of knobs or pulls you are interested in, and the style of your cabinets. Can you post a pic? It helps to make a template of some source to assure all knobs are spaced the same on each door/drawer. I used heavy cardboard for my template.
We used a template to measure and came out perfectly even.
generally 1 knob style - it's placed in the center of the drawer/ measure the drawer front both up and down and across the fornt find the center of the drawer. make a template if you wish and only for that particular drawer type and size. repeat for the other size drawers. for a pull style, mark the center of the drawer and the center of the pull. match the 2 up. use a small level and mark where the screws should go.
You can also buy jigs or templates from Home Depot or Amazon.
