Here's my latest hobby - making quilt-like collages using scrapbook paper!

I found this beautiful quilt pattern on Pinerest, but (sadly) I don't sew. So I decided to replicate the quilt pattern in scrapbook paper. This allowed me to make the design in the colors of my choice. I've posted more photos of the process here: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/use-scrapbook-paper-to-make-quilt-inspired-wall-art-27061772

You're a visionary!! I love how you "wove" together the paper into that beautiful quilt- thank you for sharing your gorgeous crafternoons' craft!

Thanks! This took some thought and planning, but I love the finished piece. And (for me) it is much easier than sewing an actual fabric quilt. Thanks for your comments!

Love how all those patterns came together! Great idea for those of us who aren't sewers :-)

Sure thing. I live in Summerville, S.C., are you familiar with this part of the state.

    • Donna Donna on Mar 06, 2017

Yes! We've stopped in Summerville on our way back and forth to Charleston. Lovely area and a charming town :) Lucky you to live there!

Do you come when the Azalea or Sweet Tea Festival is here? Not tryingto drum up business for Sville, just wondering.

    • Donna Donna on Mar 07, 2017

Sorry, no. But I've heard the Azalea Festival is wonderful. We used to go to the low country more when we lived in Sumter. Now that we live in the Upstate, we tend to visit Asheville and places in NC more.

I used to quilt, but traditional designs, and always was amazed at the others that could do this with fabric, now you have shined the light on a new way for me to revisit quilting. Thanks very much especially when easy for those who have all those extra sheets of paper.
