Lizards look very ugly on the house wall. I have tried spraying insecticides like Mortin or Begone it does not make any difference. What should I do?

I'm not sure where the lizards are exactly, but have you tried the egg shell trick? They say that lizards are repelled by the odor, and if you put egg shells around the affected area, it keeps them away. Worth a try, and a nice natural solution if it works!

They are also repelled by spicy odors like pepper spray or garlic. Hopefully that will keep them away!

If you use plants, small trees, they live there, and will stay off the walls. They eat bugs of all sorts. They are good for your environment. At night the Geckos here in Florida are attracted to light because bugs are there.

I'm here in Florida and love the little critters. Have you seen them do 'push ups'? So funny. Hopefully your situation is exterior and not interior. If they are inside your home you will need to find the source of entry in order to correct that. Unfortunately I don't think there is anything you can do to get rid of them outside. Check with the home and garden department at your local Home Depot or Lowes for a non toxic repellent. Best of luck.

I leave my lizards alone - rather have them than the bugs they eat.

My advice is to try to live harmoniously with them. They were everywhere in the part of Mexico I visited and I found them charming. They sing and they eat vermin and they are adorable. Try to think of them as your pets and maybe that will help you accept them. They don't seem to leave anything unsavory in the house - at least I never saw any droppings anywhere. Wish we had them in my neck of the woods.

I would leave them alone - they are harmless. I see you are from Iowa - I grew up there until my 30's and never saw a lizard! In Florida, they are everywhere. I would rather have a lizard than a mouse, which we had plenty in Iowa, but not here!

They are gecko if they are in the house, but I am surprised you have the so far north I am in Central America now and we live with them everywhere. If one gets truely obnoxiuous, i will swat it and kill him. The others seem to step back some then. They are helpful keeping mosqitos and small spiders out.

You can also use glue traps for mice. They do catch the critters if you place them where they walk over.
