where i'm at the water has a lot of iron content... i use a filter made for rv's and camping. about 10$ and it lasts for 3 mo. it's blue and can be placed on a threaded tap. occasionally you will get a small hose to connect it to a tap. i keep a 5 gallon round insulated water cooler of filtered water on an inexpensive stool in the kitchen for drinking/cooking. there is a bowel under the tap encase it drips- the cat's water dish.

Generally Mold and mildew often grow on surfaces in the bathroom, therefore I suggest marble cleaner is the easiest and safest way to tackle the problem that will helps to remove the mold stain that is left behind once the mold is gone! Vinegar and baking soda would be nice options for cleaning mold and mildew.

We didn't have filters when I was young. Mom put water in a bottle, in the fridge. After a few hours, the smell and taste are gone.

Thanks we've tried a carbon filter. Also bleach down the well.

We had the same problem with well water and after trying everything else including bleach which were only very short term fixes, we did wind up putting in a complete water filtering/softening system.

Sulfur smell in the well is caused by bacteria. and is a gas that stays in the water to get rid of it you need to airiate .

I used a copper one and not plastic and smashed the end that goes in the well to get a sprayer affect.

the easy way to get rid of it I've found is to get a 1/4 in. x 25 ft. Poly Ice Maker Kit .

then tap in to one of the pipes near the Well cap. and run the 1/4 in pipe back down to the well, this will get rid of the smell.

you can even add a plastic tub near the well and run the water in to the top of it and have a pipe off the side to go back down in the well. and put a floating pool chlorine thing and use the pool tablet in it to help get rid of the bacteria for good. it's easy to build and much better than buying a chlorinator they cost about $1500.00 this will cost about $20.00 or so. this is how I've done mine for over 15 years now and has worked good for me.
