Any ideas for Using a wood grain painting tool on canvas?
I have used the wood grain tool on furniture (hard surface) and it worked well, however, has anyone tried to make wood grain on a stretched canvas? The tool doesn't work nearly as well because the canvas bows (my friend suggested putting wood or books under the canvas but stuff shifts too much)/ Any ideas?

Your friends suggestion is sound. Just make sure whatever you use fits snuggly to the canvas.

well, I managed, to get done. I used a little too much glaze in the paint but I like it anyway.
