Create Patina On Anything!

7 Materials
Do you know you can create a beautiful Patina on just about anything using just paint and waxes?? Yes! You sure can...and here's how

Find a piece that has great shape or a piece that would naturally oxidize if it were outside, I'm choosing a galvanized bucket (find below in materials list) to demo this particular project below-above I show the same Patina finished on a chandelier (See complete chandelier project over at my blog listed at bottom of this page) Make sure it is cleaned and decreased first.

Next I chose to apply paper clay decorative detailing using the IOD moulds (See link to get Iron Orchid Design moulds below in materials section)
I secured the clay details on with Power Grab which is a construction adhesive that will tightly bond to metal.

Next I used DIY "clay based" Paint from Debis Design Diary (see a local retailer near you by visiting debisdesigndiary.com)
I covered the pail in a very random application being careful NOT to blend the colors as I applied thickly with a chip brush.
*be sure to watch the video to see the finished out come And visit my blog to see entire steps of the mermaid chandelie!
