What color should I paint my kitchen?

So this weekend we are repainting the kitchen cabinets and i wanted to paint them white. Im not sure if white is too bright and i should go with an offwhite, but then will it clash with the bright white walls? Also debating on painting the red wall grey. I am horrible at imagining the finished project and dont want to regret my decisions half way through! Planning on redoing the kitchen table another weekend to match.

Painting is a very personal decision. All will give you input of what they like. Do your self a favor and buy sample colors to see what works for you ,and always take into consideration on lighting. What looks like one color will not necessarily look the same in your home.

White, white, white! Go for it. Clean, bright and so easy to accessorize. I painted my walls Alabaster by Sherwin Williams a few months ago and love it. It`s a warm white. and I painted all the trim a bright white. my cabinets were already white.

There`s just enough contrast in the three whites. I use a light aqua and red as accessory colors right now but can switch it up and don`t have to worry about whether it will go with the paint.

I would definitely paint the cabinets white - I think it will look awesome! Maybe for a wall color look for a "greige" - grey/beige to blend nice with your floors and it will be a nice neutral color. Then if you want a pop of color add it with your decor, pictures, etc. Have fun!

Try the design app on paint companies web sites. Upoload an image and start playing with color combos. Some are better than others but you can get an idea for an overall look.

I just painted my cabinets medium gray. They look wonderful with my stainless steel appliances.

I agree that grey is best choice. Then she could either leave red wall or go with the wall being white to match other walls or go to opposite shade of grey for wall. ie; paint cupboards dark grey, then do wall very light grey or you could do light to med grey cupboards and do your contrast wall the darkest grey. with stainless steel would look awesome!

Do the upper cabinets white and the bases grey (?medium). White, gray and burgundy are a great combo. Eventually, will you get all stainless appliances?

just painted my cabinets white with light lemon yellow walls. I choose a new floor with touch of yellow, white and silver to coordinate to stainless appliances and recessed light fixtures. looks terrific, bright and like a new kitchen. I even painted over the wallpaper. Sherwin Williams or home depot has a brand to do this.

find a benjamin moore paint store and look at classic gray for the cabinets { it is more of an off white with just a hint of gray} then look at Chelsea gray in place of your red. Have fun with it, I bet it turns out beautiful!!!

I am going to redo my kitchen and because it is on the north side of the house and does not get as much light, I am going with a light color. The more I see of light grey the more I like it. I don't think it will show spider webs as fast as white. I am in the woods so get lots of spiders. My floors are canyon red quarry tile and the area need some light.

red is a hot color and one that should not be used in the kitchen. It should be bright and cheering I did my yellow and orange as a slight accent color. The yellow changed colors with the sun and at night. It was bold but everyone thought it was a great look

I would never paint my cabinets unless they were really old. Mine were dark oak back in the 70's. I striped the doors by a professional bust did the staining which I used natural. changed the hard ware and they came out really beautiful Arizona

Whit against the cabinets actually come out a slight yellow glow. It opened up the kitchen
