Get a timer for your water heater and invest in CFL lightbulbs throughout the entire house including outdoor lights and garage. For a 3,000 sq ft home we pay avg of $70-80/month. We also keep the air condition set at 78 degrees, you will save $10 off for every 1 degree higher. Use ceiling fans to cool off. Hope this helps.

I agree. I installed a Hot Water Heater and replaced about 55 bulbs with CFL. We have 3M window film also. Our home is 2800 sq ft. Last bill was $109.19. 2 SEER HVAC units both set to 74 degrees. The wife can't do 78 degrees. I tried it. LOL...

Install curtains or blinds over windows that get direct sunlight.
