I have used white or apple cider vinegar. Just scrubbed it in and let it go.

I also use vinegar on wood. If that doesn't work I go for the bleach. Good luck!

There are different types of mold and so you need to be careful. Be sure that you are NOT WORKING WITH BLACK MOLD. Some them can be dangerous, really, really dangerous. Have said that bleach is good be sure the area is not wet or stays damp or the mold will just regrow. Sunshine is wonderful in killing mold if that is a choice you have.

Here's what I found for you on line......be sure not to breathe either the bleach fumes or the mold while cleaning.....best to wear mask and glasses and rubber gloves for protection.

Begin by diluting your chlorine bleach properly. 2 teaspoons per half gallon of warm water is the ideal solution strength for removing mold from wood cutting boards. Using a kitchen scrubbing brush, gently scrub your cutting board in the bleach solution until the mold has all been taken care of.
