What is your location and current season?

Yes, but it would likely be a mistake. Once a particualr roSe does well in a location, any change in the sun, shade, soil, dampness, humdity will shock it and likely it will not set. Roses are cheap, try a new on in the spot you want.

Since you are in MN, I'd go to my local nursey and discuss with the people there when the best time would be and purchase what you will need as far as rose food, compost, etc for your area. I'm in Texas and the window for replanting anything here is short. You might have better luck, however some roses need to be moved when dormant in the fall vs some need to be moved right before spring. My roses bloom in the winter, so I had to transplant in March. So many different factors to moving roses. Sorry I am not more help.

Yes but only in the late fall after it's shed all it leaves and cut all branches to about 8 inches from the ground.. (The sap is down and the plant is dormant, and this gives it time to regrow in the new spot) Add mulch or some cover around it during the winter.. In the spring you should see lots of new growth that produces lots of blooms in the spring.. ( If I am not moving mine, I cut back all the limbs in January so the new growth will be there for spring).. Gotta do this before new leaves emerge, and I use plant food in early spring that's made for roses.. You can also get cuttings in late summer while the stems are still green, place in a small potato (yeah a potato, keeps the stem moist).. just cut a hole and stick the stem inside then put in a small pot through the winter and water when soil is dry, once a week or so.. Or use rooting hormone, (Walmart) wet the end of the cut stem, dip in the powder, then plant in a small pot for the winter.. Good luck..
