Make a paste of baking soda mixed with white vinegar and allow to sit in the mug overnight.

Have you tried (1) soaking overnite with salt and lemon juice, (2) go to a restaurant supply to get "Dip It" stain remover. Tips from a Chef.

I have been using denture tabs, they clean coffee and tea mugs. And no, there is no after taste when rinsed well.

You don't need to leave baking soda overnight just put it on a damp cloth and rub. Comes off right away. I worked with a guy who had the worse coffee mug I ever saw. I brought some b/s in one day and cleaned the thing. He didn't recognize his own mug after that.

I wash my mug every mornin' and I use dish soap, as I do in my other dishes. If there is a consistent stain........do you drink coffee ALL day or not wash it everyday? I noticed STRONG instant coffee leaves an ugly stain from my Son's cup. He puts a lot of coffee in his mug.......STRONG!!

When my cup starts looking yukkky, I just leave plain water in my cup overnight, the next morning a gentle wipe with a paper towel and my cup is like new again. If stain doesn't completely go away, add a little moistened sugar or salt as you're wiping. It's just enough abrasive to get the cup totally clean.
