just fyi...my friend reupholsters furniture professionally and she recently dismantled a chair someone had painted. A cloth chair. Apparently.....although it looks great on the outside....it rots away at the inside because the paint never really dries on the foam stuffing. It just eventually disintegrates. Sorry to be the barer of bad news. I had always wanted to paint my sofa but after seeing the pics....I've changed my mind.

Everything I have is brown. I would like to paint a microfiber dark brown material like a teal . Will it be stiff feeling and possibly wear off where people sit?
