This is where the construction crap went from previous owner. And in the summer there is a neighbors grapevine that grows over the metal fence.
What could I do with this backyard, help!!!!

Our backyard is in desperate need of a makeover on a budget. We live in Upstate NY so it has to withstand NY winters. Our fence fell down and we know we need to clear out the construnction materials. This doesn't get much light at all. There is a 6 inch st down to the backyard from our house. PLEASE HELP!

1) Clear the area.
2) Paint shed and piece of tall fence... cool backdrop for a seating area.
3) Think about what you want to use it for.... are you social and want barbecue, dinning area, bar, fire pit. Are you a gardener.... flowers, herbs, veggies. Divide the yard into small areas. Choose a theme and colours. Have fun.
4) Map out seating areas. Could use mulch for these.
5) Run patio light from house to trees behind fence.
6) Buy a few plants. I live in Northern Ontario so.... my favorites are hydragea, potentilla, peonies, azalias, hostas, heather, cedar rounds, tall cedars for privacy.
7) Add some florals cone flowers, daisies, phlox. pinks.
8) Do not feel you need to conquer it all in a day. Do one area at a time.
