This shows a lot of interesting suggestions. https://www.pinterest.com/squamlake04/glass-storage/

Have you thought about breaking it down into pieces to make colorful glass-filled mason jars? That could end up being a night decor piece!

I use different sized heavy duty plastic crates with lids (Walmart). I have 3 different sizes from small to extra large. The size of the leftover glass (or new!) goes in the corresponding crate. I wish I had room for the vertical shelves like glass stores use.

Break it up and make frits. Be sure to separate different COE glasses. I keep by brand names. Anyway, I use frits in a microwave kiln to make Christmas ornaments and jewelry (mainly pendants and earrings). Every firing is a new experience - never know what comes out of the kiln. Often times, they are absolutely beautiful and other times, not so much. To make frits, you can buy a frit maker from Amazon.com, but for now, I am using Ziplock bags doubled with a hammer. Be sure to use safety glasses and to check the bags - they get destroyed easily.

I like clear plastic shoeboxes and keep scraps separated by color groups. If you use both regular and fusible glass, keep them in separate boxes labeled by type. Larger scraps are stored in divided vertical bins that I found at Michael's and bought as they went on sale for 50% off (Recollections Four Shelf Organizers, turned on their sides). Both of these have worked well for me to keep scraps organized and readily available. Enjoy your new hobby!
