Great job. Hopefully this storm is less than 6" of fluffy. If wet snow, goodluck and get it off as soon as you don't freeze.

Pansies hard very hardy, depsite their delicate look. They are the winter flower to plant in Texas and it does freeze down there, several times during a winter. Pansies don't like a lot of heat.

It is probably making the pansies too warm---they are cool weather flowers---mine bloom off and on all winter whenever the weather warms up, and they are not harmed by snow or cold weather, they will perk right back up when it gets warmer.

Time will show if I helped them by covering or I killed them unintentionally 🌝

Tess, How much snow did you get? How did the plant tents hold up for the pansies? They are a cool weather plant, so they should pop right back!

Hello Margie there is about 4-6 inches of snow which also covered my plastic tents and now the snow became hard as rock, so I am not sure how I will find the flowers underneath as more snow is coming and right now I still am not able to remove the plastic tents . I saw this morning other flowers sticking out of the snow and they look ok 😏

As others indicated, no need to cover. I always had pansies for my Christmas table and sometimes pulled them in the snow. Formerly lived in Maryland with awful cold and they were fine. Remember also, the more you pick, the more blooms you will have. I had to learn that from another pansy lover.
