I like purple, pink, and yellow perennials. Any ideas for plants that don't spread nderground?

First what is your planting zone?What is your lighting?And how is your soil?

  Zone 6. Good morning sun/Partial Shade. Average soil, would probably add a little top soil and some peat?

  top soil is not an amendment.Peat moss and a good garden soil is what y ou need. Astillbe,hucheras,hostas,not much selection in your choice of colors.Are you open to other suggestions?
