Does a home owner maintenance guide exist?

I would love to find a place/ data base where all the home owner daily/ weekly/ monthly/ semi-annual/ annual maintenance items are in an easy to use and understand how perform the tasks. Did you know your fridge might have a filter that needs to be replaced? How the heck and when do I clean the furnace fan? What do I need to do with the A/C that is outside? I need a comprehensive home care guide. Anyone know where to get one?

It sounds almost too good to be true! I could definitely use one of those in my home. In the meantime I stick to coming to Hometalk for all my questions

Check your local bookstore for home maintenance publications . I've had several such books that give details on home maintenance and the how-to's. One was from Readers Digest. Online, look for Bob Villa.com. His site has lots of how-to articles and seasonal/monthly suggestions of what to tackle (DIY) and which chores you might prefer to hire a handyman or professional for. Not all suggestions apply to everyone.

If you no longer have an operators manual for an appliance or tool that needs maintenance, search online. You should be able to contact the manufacturer for a copy if the manual hasn't been digitally made available for download.

Other than going to your local Barnes and Nobles book store and checking this out, I can think of one book that could possibly help and it is a book published by The Readers Digest back in 1988, which my parents gave to me, titled Household Hints & Handy Tips. I do not know if this book can still be purchased, but it is definitely worth a try. Other than this, I can think of Dear Heoloise, that I believe might have a book on this idea with helpful hints for the home owner and you can always get many helpful hints that are posted on Pinterest. Good luck and hope you succeed in finding this book.
