I'd like to have a small vegetable garden this year but our neighborhood has a lot of snails and snails like tender stocks of veggies. Any suggestions.

Sink a plate or bowl level with the soil. Pour in some beer in the bowl. The yeast attracts them. They drink their fill and die. Also good for slugs.

Easy peasy. Pour some beer into a shallow plate or pie plate. Place in garden where snails are present. The snails get drunk and die. Problem solved.

What ever you do not step on them. I read somewhere when they are step on they multiply. And wherever they make a trail with a substance left behind they multiply. You can use salt on them.
