What plants could I put on a hot, sunny balcony in Florida?

Remember, everything has to be moved indoors when there is a hurricane warning , so weight is a consideration. All plants need to be hand watered since no sprinklers or hoses are permitted. I'm tired of the barren look of tile and outdoor furniture alone.

i had scraps of plywood and trim and paint from habitat for humanity re-store- a friend and i used it to make trolly's for my larger potted plants. fixed wheels in back, mobile wheels in front to make the turn on to the 2nd floor deck, large eye hook and rope to pull it with. very handy critters and not much money involved. lots easier to pull than pick up and carry. kept the heavier pots on them and when winter came several smaller pots made the ride into the house w/ the larger pot.

not so much a comment on plants, but how to move them quickly.

Bougainvillea's make a great hanging basket as well as wave petunia, wondering jew plants and moose in a boat are all colorful (purple with white and pink flowers) and easy to move. Begonias make a nice basket but don't trail.

Thank you. Problem is our condo rules don't allow any hanging baskets on the balcony.
