we had a greenhouse business. we plant gerber daises, hostas, begonias are a great plant too. Begonia's do well in full sun and they do well in a dry climate. You don't have to water them a lot. The bronze leaf is the best to plant but I have mixed them with the green leaf begonia. geranium's are another plant that loves shade. Good luck, I know you will have a beautiful garden

There are many, many flowering plants for shade depending on your zone. Best bet is to get a book from your library. Lots of info with lovely pictures. Also use Google.

Hosta is perfect. There are so many kinds & Colors. I have a dark shady spot next to my garage with several Hostas; variegated leaves are very pretty especially if you mix yellow and whites.
