My Suv's GPS is set to sniff out Michaels. It swerves right into the parking lot.

Home Depot for wood, paint, etc. But I buy my brushes in bulk online 100 at a time from Amazon - can't run out brushes!

I live in a small town , so we don't have any craft stores. Anytime my car is headed towards the outskirts of town it automatically goes the direction of Hobby Lobby. Lol

In Ontario, I head to the dollar store first, and what I cannot locate there, it's Michaels.....I wish we had Hobby Lobby in Canada!!!

I love going to a local thrift shop in Fairport, NY. Everything in the store is a donation, the wonderful people who run it donate their time and all the profits are used to help the local senior population. I can find different stuff every day, paint, fabric, I even found a floor quilting frame there for just 10.00! Craft Bits and Pieces is my favorite place to go for my supplies and I feel really great knowing my money goes to help out my community.

It depends on the project and the prices. This winter I built a cabinet and that meant everyone at Home Depot knew my name. Now I want to try making some better painting for my house, so that means Michael's and Hobby Lobby. We used to have an AC Moore's nearby, I miss that. And, of course, the dollar store!

  • I ALWAYS start at the dollar type stores and work my way up to the craft stores. I find amazing stuff at some of them.

If you have a Home Store close you are lucky. Things are cheaper on line, but walking through these others are great for stealing ideas.

I am not a huge crafter, but I like Dollar Tree for the craft items I do need. Walmart and Michaels come in tied for second place.
