Here's another one:
Picture 1 could add a small cabinet between window and existing cabinet. Picture 2 Enclose area under sink or put some plastic cabinets under it. Many come on casters so you could move them to clean under or get to pipes. Depending on what is across from sink you might be able to add something similar to the space where basket is.
Okay, here's what I'm thinking because I have the same problem: first of all, a barn door if you can because the swinging door is a space killer. Oh, wait a minute. Dormer ceiling. That's the slanted walls like in the pics above...gosh, no, not without seeing pics of the space. However, I stand by the sliding door.
