Moles, good luck getting rid of them!! We tried all the things they sell for mole problems, poison traps, etc, nothing worked~until my husband put a few mouse traps in the back yard(no kids or pets to worry about!!), and caught 2!! Haven't seen one since. Fingers crossed

Most likely moles but could also be voles.

You have a colony of vermin; moles, voles, weavels, etc.... Pour a little gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner or lighter fluid in the holes. Toss a match. Get rid of the colony.

Just tonight I found "How to get ride of ground moles" -- mix Dawn dish soap with caster oil hook to garden hose type sprayer -- may have to spray again if they come back

They are moles. Go to Lowes and buy a $20 dollar Solar sonar for moles. You recess it into the grass at ground level so a mower can go over it. I used it in my backyard and it actually worked better than anything.

Our family has some lake property and the big lawn is kept groomed except for the gopher Holes. We have tried everything from blocking the holes, flushing the holes and a few more. There's really no way to completely get rid of them. In fact they attacked the garden and had been eating the carrots from underground, all the way up to the green stems! We buried cage type wire down into the ground, surrounding the garden. I think my mother threw up her hands when the horses from the property over, found their way through our fence to a a delicious meal of veggies!
