bar keepers friend is especially good cleaning stainless steel.It comes in both powdered and a liquid.I prefer the powder.You sprinkle and then rub with one of those combo scrubber/sponge things.It requires good rinsing.If you see white powdery look when done it s just because you haven't rinsed enough.

You can also rub baby oil against the grain and wipe with a micro-fiber cloth.
"Black" stainless steel???? You can get Stainless Steel cleaner at the store....
Cleaning section or at Lowes or Home Depot or Bed Bath and Beyond......all have them.........good luck.
