If you have a lot of moles chances are you have a lot of grub. If timing is right and the ground temperature is above 60 degrees apply a grub control to your lawn.
Grubs are their main food source, but they also eat earthworms, and other bugs.

You can get a cat to take care of your mole troubles! They're natural predators.
I finally hired someone to trap it...and all those holes for one critter..
Moth balls, push 2 down each entrance or hill. Make sure that you place balls deep into tunnels, or entrance holes for safety reasons. I also tap down all tunnels. They will leave for greener pastures. Also apply grub control.
Please do not use mothballs they are very hazardous to the environment.
Plant castor plants. They emit something into the soul that moles, and grubs hate.
please, please, do not plant castor plants if you have pets! They are fatal to a dog or cat! The plant has castor beans that fall off and dogs and/or cats will eat them. That's what happened to my parents little cocker spaniel and she died.
So please be careful with what you use.
Grub control, grub control is the way to go! If they have nothing to eat......... they will go away!
Get rid of the slugs, I have a mole thing in the ground, and it works super since I found the hole. I place broken glass throughout the entire hole (as much as we could) . Then the mole thing took over and we have never seen one since. If you do not do something for the hole then you may have voles and other critters taking over.
Use urine I found that idea in a garden book
