Can you help me with this dry wood? What can I do?

I have a dresser in good shape, but the wood is starting to crack from being dry, what can I use to put moisture back and still be able to paint or stain?

Try rubbing coconut oil which should revive it enough before you attempt your paint project. If not you will have to lightly sand it.

I agree that you will need to sand it gently with a brown paper bag, then orange oil, coconut oil, whatever you like.
