Any ideas for large embroidery hoop... other than framing a textile?

    You can paint it and use it to frame a black and white picture. I love how this looks!

    You can put lace in a embroidery hoop. I used a old vintage picture frame, and hot glued it in. Either one makes a nice way to organize your earrings. I hung mine on the wall in a convenient location.

    If you had two of the same size you could make a pendant lamp like I did. I have gotten so many compliments on it in my kitchen

    I had some clear stretchy thread, from a beading project, stretched it in random ways across my large hoops, making sure many of the lines crossed, even at weird angles. Then I slid in my airplants where the threads intersected and hung the hoop out away from the wall so it can slowly turn in the air, like a mobile! Easy way to spray the airplants, too! Spray one side, turn the hoop and repeat! The "thread" looks like 20 lb fish line, and pretty much disappears visually.

      very original! I bet the fishing line would work too.
