I lost many plants last year to an over infestation of those little bugs. I tried many different kinds of organic pesticides and they didn't work. I did use a powerful pesticide and was too afraid to eat the veggies I could finally grow. They are back! What do I do?

I am in albuquerque new mexico. I planted squash and tomatoes in above ground planters, whiskey barrels and horse water trough. Appropriate water and lots of light. Plenty of drainage foe both planters.

    1. clean up around your veggie plants, remove fallen leaves. If you use compost be careful, make sure it is aged, use a screen to remove large particles.

    2. Sprinkle food grade diatomaceous earth. Will kill off within 48 hrs. Until you harvest do this weekly or until you see absolutely no damageing insects
