I would start them now as some varieties take longer to germinate then others. Once the seed establish into plants,proving there is no danger of frost in your area then they will be ready for planting.
I agree with Janet, now is good time to give your seeds a couple of weeks to germinate before the last frost is over and you can move them outside. Happy planting!!
I plant seeds in my house all year long, then transfer to outside pots or ground when mature enough. I am in Southern CA so for me it is possible.
Go to the Old Farmers Almanac. You can get a chart just for your area!
when you can plant your seeds depends on your last average frost date. some seeds for the garden need to start indoors, pepper tomatoes etc, you can google your last average frost date. then count backwards 8 weeks for some seeds, 6 weeks for others. then start seedlings. transplant to garden when soil temp is in the 60 degree f range and danger of frost has passed.
