Use a damp micro fiber cloth.
Pledge Fluffy Dusters are pretty good for cleaning high gloss.
A long time ago I used "Blue Coral" leather cleaner and conditioner on my good wood furniture. I bought it for my car interior, then tried it on some antique furniture - I was amazed. Usually can be purchased at automotive departments or stores. I hope they still make it, it came out foamy, under pressure can. I used old rags, because I like old rags, then launder. No problem. I hope this helps.
high gloss sounds like it use to be known as black lacquer shine... I had furniture made of it and always used windex and either a soft cloth or a very lightly dampened towel to dry and bring the natural shine out on it. Later as it aged and become scuffed I would put a very thin light coat of Vaseline on it and then wipe it dry. Armor all may do the trick now days.
