An ipe deck I completed for a client, Ipe posts, stainless steel rails,and a screw free install.
Another Ipe deck...Ipe ws also used as trim for windows and corners

    IMHO...I would rather use a sustainable natural product, rather than one made from petroleum products. Minor scraps and leftover materials can be used in the wood stove or for other projects like cutting boards furniture etc. leftover decking scraps are land fill fodder.

    So would I, but ipe is NOT sustainable. The manufacture says it is, but their job is not to make a product, it is to make money.
