My home is a mid century modern with three green/while metal chairs on the front porch. I would like low lying plants to enjoy while not obstructing the view from my charming chairs. Thank you.

    Boxwood is a low growing shrub that needs little attention. It says green all year!

      Thank you, Nancy. I like the idea of having some bushes that stay green.

    Speak with Garden shop to see if Azaleas are good growers for your area;

    Thanks, Anne with an "e". I'll do that. I know they grown well here but will have to check about the northern exposure.

      I'm sorry my answer didn't appear earlier,Janet. I'm in St.Louis,Mo. that's planting zone 6. I'd like a mixture of perenialls, ground cover, and low growing bushes that stay green year round, but not of the fur family.

    Take a pic and go to a good local garden center. They know best what works for your area and their professional advice is free, as are care instructions, usually guarantee their stock, and you will end up there to buy in the end anyway.
