How can you restore the glossy finish to granite?

We have a granite floor in our guest room bath that looks as though some one spilled either an abrasive cleaner or possibly nail polish remover which left random spots with no gloss. Any suggestions as to how I might "regloss" those areas OR regloss the entire floor?

Your best bet to restore granite shine is to remove soap film with a commercially available, professional quality product made specifically for the purpose … and made specifically for use on natural stone surfaces!

Avoid homemade concoctions and other cleaners that may have a harmful effect on your granite, marble or limestone.

You can try- MB-3 Soap Film and Mineral Deposit Remover.

    Good luck!!

That's great! I really appreciate the tip. Any idea where the best place is to get that? Home Depot, Menard's.....? Thanks again!

The floor has been etched by the chemical spill. I did this to my travertine floor with too much vinegar a week after installation. The floor had to be acid washed and it came out like new. There are many companies that do this and it was not very expensive to have done. Leave it to the professionals and it will be done right. Good luck!
