Old Floor and One Particular Problem

Carrie
by Carrie
A vine has found its way through a slight opening between a floor board and the ground underneath. Seeing this confirms we have to button up the flooring to any of the elements from the outside or underneath! One future project of many in the forecast of being an old home owner! Check out my blog for the post about this.

The variety I have spreads through the root system, I have dug them up so many times I just gave up & cut them back every couple of months. My house siding is wood, I thought the ive looked so pretty when I moved in, by the end of summer it had made it's way all the way to the roof. It was tucking it's self in to all the cracks and in & out of the trim work, up in to the attic through the air vents OMG took for ever, felt like Tarzan pulling on those vines. After trimming them back decoratively I stand back to look at my handy work to notice millions of little brown spots all over my dark gray house. Power washing only took the paint off & now I have a tan house so the little feet don't show as bad from the curb, lol

I hate to laugh Carrie but this sounds like something that would happen to me. I have no green thumb so maybe I should come live with you for a while. All my plants die!
