The head broke off when it tipped over. I live in zone 5. It is an outside statue.
I'm not sure how durable hot glue would be, but you can use a fabric glue for a similar idea, like this one https://www.vat19.com/item/tear-mender-instant-fabric-adhesive Best of luck!
If you'll be using fabric hot glue sticks such as these http://amzn.to/2om8ZwP then I believe that should work. But if your hot glue sticks are not specially designed for fabric (needs to be washable and stretchable) then I would recommend either getting fabric hot glue sticks ( http://amzn.to/2om8ZwP ) or using something like these: http://amzn.to/2no8QIo
I hope this info helps! Happy crafting! -Handan
I would try a staple gun. Just make sure the points of the staples are turned inside. Staple from the top side and then bend or press (or use a hammer) to make sure they bend so they are not sticking out to scratch the chair or you.
I would trim off the excess strings and use Stitch Witchery. It is an iron on tape hem mender. You can buy it at most craft stores and Wal-mart.
Thank you! I have heard of that. Was just being lazy and a tightwad, lol.
Use speed sew.
.I would use the thicker thread...Called button and carpet thread. All you would have to do is put needle in one side and then cross over to put in other side and pull. It would be a "strong fix". Especially if the pulled area is on back side and you said you wouldnt do a good job fixing it. I'm a sewer and know how to hide
my stitches for any viewable repairs. I would pefer the sew method over a glue method....as more permanant. You would need to get a needle with a large eye.
YOU CAN GET A STABLIZER WITH HEAT BOND ON IT IRON A PIECE ON THE WRONG SIDE MUCH LARGER THAN THE AREA TO FIX THE RAVELING.THAT LOOKS LIKE A RATHER LOOSE WEAVE FABRIC.
There are upholstery Glues you can use that stands up to washing (mend it comes to mind but any fabric glue will do) can be found at hobby stores and some of the big box stores as well. Good Luck.
Nancy's Notions has product called Bo-Nash that you can use to mend. It sprinkles on and you apply iron to make repair or patch.
